Northwest Colorado Springs
Piñon Valley is a great place to live in Colorado Springs. Just to the northwest of downtown, it has great access to some of the best attractions the city has to offer. It’s just 5 minutes from Garden of the Gods and only 10 minutes to Barr Trail at the base of Pikes Peak.
Things To Do Near Piñon Valley
Hiking, Biking, and Hanging out at the Park
Piñon Valley is just a stone’s throw from Ute Valley park. This park is very popular with mountain bikers, hikers and dog walkers. The terrain is fairly moderate and suitable for most anyone. The west access point is at the beginning of Sevenoaks Drive right near Piñon Valley park. The west side does not have a large parking area (street only) so you may want to consider the east side. The east access point is just off Vindicator drive and has a large parking lot. This park is great for views of Pike’s Peak and from the east side you can see downtown Colorado Springs. Many, many miles of hiking and biking trails.
Piñon Valley is also very near to Garden of the Gods park. If you want to stand in the shadow of some really massive rock formations this is the place for you. Check out some of the pictures of the park. It really is spectacular…especially as the sun is rising or setting. A truly gorgeous place!
